Follow the reindeer from plain to coast! Experience this unique once in a lifetime experience of the Sami reindeer herders when they migrate the reindeer from inland areas to summer pastures on the coast of Northern Norway. Ignore the clock and join this amazing 6-day adventure! You will travel with a Sami family on snowmobiles and sleep in traditional and warm “lavvu” tents. Due to herding traditions, this adventure is only available in April/May. We take only small groups of 1- 6 persons. We are booking now for Spring 2018.

Sustainability
Travelers will join an indigenous Sami family which have practised the reindeer migration for hundreds of years in Tundra. Travelers will sleep together with their hosts in tents and all the food is local and traditional Sami food. This trip has no waste as everything that you bring to Tundra needs to be brought back. Travelers will not have a shower and they will use a mobile toilet.

Trip Itinerary
There’s no daily schedule on this trip as guests move along the reindeer stock with a snowmobile and with Sami hosts. You will be amazed by the beautiful Arctic nature. You will learn much about nomadic herding and about reindeer.
Guests will also have an opportunity to try reindeer sledging, ice fishing or skiing when the herding activities allow it.
All the evenings and nights are spent in the traditional Sámi tent where guests sleep with the Sámi family. This is a memorable experience!
