The Diver Development Internship allows avid divers that are passionate about ocean conservation to improve their diving skills by learning field techniques that are used by scientific divers. Interns will learn the basic theory behind our projects and will help to collect data with our marine biology interns.

Sustainability
Interns will be assisting in the data collection for the marine biology program. This data will be used towards the conservation of our marine ecosystems and securing a sustainable future for the local communities.

Flights, visas, internet (we recommend interns purchase a local SIM card upon arrival)

Trip Itinerary
Weeks 1-2: Diving courses (if applicable). Open water, Advanced, Rescue, or a Refresher Course. After diving in the mornings, interns will attend marine biology lectures in the afternoon.
Weeks 3-4+: Once dive training and lectures are completed, diver development interns will team up with marine biology interns to assist in data collection. Here, interns will learn the challenges and rewards of collecting underwater data in a challenging environment. Afternoons will either be spent learning data input/analysis or participating in diving lectures with our local instructor (workshops on servicing gear, etc.).
Interns will get 1-2 days off per week to explore the area or just relax in a hammock or at the beach.
